Team Liquid continue to impress with their aggressive style and well coordinated plays. After taking the top spot in their group with a 4:2 record, they quickly fell from the upper brackets after a 2:0 wipe out by MVP.Phoenix. Since then, they have struck back hard to keep alive in the elimination series, by first taking out compLexity Gaming, 2:0.
The EPICENTER Moscow championship team now saw Na’Vi eliminated and claimed their spot in the lower brackets round 4 to face Fnatic.
The Manila Major standings: Team Liquid vs. Na’Vi
The first game of the series saw a heavy push oriented lineup for Team Liquid. A triple kill for Team Liquid early on would give them some advantage over the CIS team. Both the Dragon Knight and Lone Druid were showing incredible push power but Na’Vi were able to hold their own for quite some time, stalling Team Liquid’s advances with incredible high ground defenses and coordination. About 27 minutes in, there wasn’t much that the CIS squad could do any longer to hold the European team off and they quickly fell behind. Team Liquid took the first game of the series.

In the second match, Na’Vi were able to draft many of their comfort heroes with a Lycan, Bounty Hunter and Queen of Pain. Team Liquid took the first blood but Na’Vi were able to keep things relatively even for the first 23 minutes. Around 27 minutes into the game a bad initiation would turn in to a full team wipe on Na’Vi and allow Team Liquid to further their lead and advance to take the second match and the series.
