The Manila Major NA Open Qualifiers round 2 has left 32 teams with hopes to continue their journey to China. More than 250 teams were sent home early with their dreams and hopes to attend the Manila Major put to rest.
All of the notable and expected teams are still in the game, set to return for the last chance to grab the remaining NA spot in the Americas Regional Qualifiers.
Ioannis “Fogged” Loucas stepped in for Jacob “Maelk” Toft-Andersen in Vegetable Esports Club. As Fogged is the official and registered sub for the team, there is no impending challenges with their participation if they continue to advance and will be able to compete with either Fogged or Maelk in the regional qualifier.
Round of 32 will pit Vegetable Esports against EverNova, ending one of these favorites home.
Dragneel was the first team to grab a spot in the Manila Major NA Regional Qualifiers when then swept through Friendship, Love, Dedication before upsetting EverNova 2:0 for their spot.
The winners of the Manila Major NA Open Qualifiers will advance to the Regional Qualifiers, which will take place between May 3-6.
The Manila Major will be held between June 7-12, at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila, Philippines, with a set prize-pool of $3,000,000. Sixteen teams will compete in the main event hosted by PGL and Valve.
Progress can be followed in the FACEIT brackets as teams progress tomorrow.
