The first round of the Manila Major NA Open Qualifiers has left 32 teams with hopes to continue their journey to China. More than 300 teams were sent home early to practice and try their luck again in the second set of the Manila Major EU Open Qualifiers, starting on May 1.

FaceIT admins confirmed for Dotablast the issue for the Wonder Wolf’s disqualification was that Francis “FrancisLee” Lee was unable to access the Steam account that he had registered on FaceIT and the second account he provided was banned. Being an old account he no longer had access to Admins had agreed to help him make a switch for the event. The second one he provided – his current steam account had a VAC ban on it in the platform and was ineligible to participate. The team was then disqualified based on the rules prohibiting accounts with VAC bans from participating and making changes to the lineup once the event started.
Vegetable Esports Club and EverNova have both advanced and will be playing each other in Round of 32.
Luccini and Perky Pepperonis will continue to advance and try their luck one more day.
The winners of the Manila Major NA Open Qualifiers will advance to the Regional Qualifiers, which will take place between May 3-6.
The Manila Major will be held between June 7-12, at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila, Philippines, with a set prize-pool of $3,000,000. Sixteen teams will compete in the main event hosted by PGL and Valve.
Progress can be followed in the FACEIT brackets as teams progress tomorrow.
