The last elimination series of the day was held between the number 1 ranked team – Team Liquid and the crowd favorites – Fnatic.
In their second series of the day, Team Liquid remained calm, focused and in control both games. Not only did they overpower Fnatic, but they dominated by a clear margin.
The Europeans have more than proven that they are a top team and solidified all of the reasons everyone has crowned them the tournament favorites.
The tournament favorites saw Fnatic eliminated and claimed their spot in the lower brackets round 5.
The Manila Major standings: Team Liquid vs. Fnatic
In the first game, much to the crowd’s pleasure, Djardel Jicko B. “DJ” Mampusti drew first blood. Team Liquid set the tempo and took control of the game but about 15 minutes Fnatic lashed back out and took the lead. Intense game with back and forth leads would become thrilling. Team Liquid taking back the lead around 32 minutes into the game would give them an almost 20k gold lead, but Fnatic continued to be unfazed and pushed forward into their base. Team Liquid would take the game after almost one hour of play.

In the second match, the first 18 minutes seemed to be neck and neck with a slight lead by Team Liquid over Fnatic. Team Liquid claimed two barracks by 30 minutes in. The European squad played immaculate Dota with very few mistakes. A team wipe at the Roshan Pit 32 minutes in would be enough for Fnatic to call the GG.

(969 comments)My boys Liquid are doing it. Too bad though for fnatic, as one of the representatives of SEA dota2, I’m so proud of them. TI6 invitation coming to them? Very high chance. Go go Liquid!
