Imperial secured the final spot in the regional qualifiers. The Danish team didn’t drop a single match in the qualifiers, even after four days of intense and grueling games.
After dropping to Flipsid3 Tactics in the quarter finals of the first Boston Major EU Open Qualifiers, the team kept their hopes and spirits high and tackled the second round of qualifiers for one last chance.
The Danes survived the brutal best-of-one series, taking down FRIENDS and then wiping through Sanguine Sharks 2:0 before heading to the finals.
Imperial was the favorites going into the Boston Major EU Open Qualifiers with a strong and successful recent run. They were denied a chance for an invite at a Boston Major EU Regional Qualifiers when Jon “13abyKnight” Andersen had failed to leave his last team, London Conspiracy and register with Imperial.
Imperial will go up against Ad Finem, Alliance, Escape Gaming, Team Liquid, Na’Vi, Team Secret, Vega Squadron, Virtus.Pro and Fantastic 5, in the Boston Major EU Regional Qualifiers, scheduled to take place between October 27-30th.
The Boston Major will be held between December 7-11, at the Wang Theater, in Boston, USA, with a set prize-pool of $3,000,000. Sixteen teams will compete in the main event hosted by PGL and Valve.
