FRIENDS have claimed the championship title for D2CL S10. The CIS region team trampled over the Swedish team Horde 2:0 in the grand finals. Both teams were one of eight direct invites to the event – cruising through the brackets with relative ease. The monthly staple in minor tournaments has been a proving ground for teams to gain experience and exposure. Season 11 will kick off this weekend with the first of four open qualifiers.

FRIENDS wrote down another championship title on their resume as they overtook Horde 2:0 in D2CL S10.
The CIS team was directly invited to participate and breezed through the brackets – taking down Elements Pro, Hive and Effect.
Going face to face with the Swedish line up featuring Joakim “Akke” Akterhall, the team was unfazed and outplayed their opponents for a clean victory.
Sixteen teams total participated in the main event. Eight teams over the course of four weeks earned their spot, joining the eight invited squads to battle it out for the $5,000 prize pool.
All teams have another shot at claiming a title from D2CL!
D2CL season 11 will start with the first of the open qualifiers this weekend – Saturday, February 25th. Teams can register HERE to participate.

EPIC Esports Events
EPIC Esports Events has brought together D2CL for 7 seasons previously, starting in 2013. With over $400,000 in prize pools distributed already, the event boasts being the “best chance for young teams to prove themselves”.
EPIC Esports is the famed organizer of EPICENTER Moscow – a new LAN tournament that featurde a $500,000 prize pool and eight of the top Dota 2 teams worldwide. The event was held May 9th-15th at Crocus City Hall, Moscow, Russia.
EPICENTER Moscow LAN playoffs crowned Team Liquid as champions. The European team edged out Newbee 3:2 in an intense and dramatic series. Team Liquid walked away with the title, trophy and $250,000 prize.
