Fnatic have come out the winners of the ESL One Frankfurt 2016 SEA qualifier after besting MVP.Phoenix 3:1 in the Grand Finals. The Malaysian squad will join Alliance, OG, Team Liquid and four other qualified teams to compete for a piece of the $250,000 prize pool. ESL One Frankfurt 2016 will take place between June 17-19, at the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt, Germany.

Fnatic convincingly clinched their win in the ESL One Frankfurt 2016 SEA qualifier, claiming the regional spot for the main event. For the second time in recent history, the Malaysian team overthrew MVP.Phoenix for the allocated LAN spots in premier tournaments. Fnatic swept through MVP.Phoenix 3:0 in the EPICENTER Moscow SEA qualifiers two weeks ago.
The Malaysian team is on fire lately. In the last few months, Fnatic secured three LAN spots through victories in the regional qualifiers – ESL One Manila, EPICENTER Moscow and now ESL One Frankfurt 2016.
NA, EU and Chinese qualifiers are still underway. Two teams from Europe, one from NA and one team from China will also assume their spots in the main event in June.

ESL One Frankfurt 2016 closes out the $1,000,000 pledge to Dota 2 and brings the festivities back to Germany in June 2016 with a $250,000 starting prize pool featuring eight of the best teams from around the world. It continues to maintain a focus on fan and onsite activity and viewing experience. The event will return to Commerzbank-Arena June 18th and 19th
