The final round of the Boston Major NA Open Qualifiers has come to an end. Another European team, Elements Pro Gaming snatched the last Boston Major NA Regional Qualifiers available spot, after overpowering Kaipi 2:1 in the finals. The Boston Major NA Regional Qualifiers starts today, October 27th at 19:00 CEST. Prodota vs Infamous and Elements Pro Gaming vs WWD will kick off the group stage.

Elements Pro Gaming secured the final spot in the NA regional qualifiers. The all European team followed in the lead of Prodota Gaming, by switching regions in a final attempt to qualify.
Elements played in the first Boston Major EU Open Qualifiers advancing until round of 32 when Team Empire overpowered them. They then played in the second Boston Major NA Open Qualifiers but were knocked out in Round of 64 by a team called 322EZ. They then registered for the Boston Major NA Open Qualifiers for later that same night, their third attempt at qualifying.
Elements were able to survive the brutal best-of-one brackets knocking out NA contenders and then sweeping through EU team BrooDMothers. Elements then outlasted Kaipi 2:1, with the third game ending after 10:00 CEST.
Elements Pro Gaming will go up against compLexity, FDL, Team NP, Kingao+4, Infamous, Team Freedom and Prodota Gaming in the Boston Major NA Regional Qualifiers, scheduled to take place between October 27-30th.
The Boston Major will be held between December 7-11, at the Wang Theater, in Boston, USA, with a set prize-pool of $3,000,000. Sixteen teams will compete in the main event hosted by PGL and Valve.
Boston Major Regional Qualifiers
The Boston Major NA Regional Qualifiers are being held online starting on Thursday October 27th at 10:00 CEST.
There will be two phases to the Boston Major Qualifiers format – group and playoffs.
Group Phase
- One group
- Round-Robin
- Best-of-one matches
- 1 point for wins
- 0 points for loss
- Teams placed 1-4 move to playoffs
Tiebreakers: If there is tie between 4th and 5th position a tiebreaker match will be played. For ties between all other positions winner is determined based on head-to-head results.
Playoff Phase
- 1st place team chooses 3rd or 4th place team as opponent
- 2nd place team competes against remaining team
- GSL bracket format
- Best of three series
- Two teams advance to Boston Major
