EHOME roster changes made earlier today have thrust the team into needing to play in the Kiev Major Open Qualifiers if they aim for a chance to compete in the main event. The once Chinese juggernauts have been grappling with sub par results and performances since Boston Major. Their roster formed for the new year didn’t seem fare any better and led to a bold decision to make adjustments mid season, forfeiting their chances of regional invite.

The EHOME roster changes announced earlier today will force the Chinese team into taking the long route to the Kiev Major.
With only a few weeks remaining before the Kiev Major Open Qualifiers, the team will now be preparing their A Game to survive the brutal best-of-one elimination brackets in order to see their way into the regionals.
Luo “Xi” Yinqi has been replaced by long term member and veteran star, Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng who had moved into the coaching role at the start of the new year.
Following amicable discussion between players and club, EHOME Dota 2 player Xi will be stepping down, to be replaced in the support position by long-standing EHOME captain LaNm, who had previously taken up the coach/sub role in an effort to be able to spend more time with family.
We would like to thank Xi for his contributions to EHOME in the past year — as a veteran player he has massively helped EHOME’s younger players across EHOME’s youth squads. Here we would like to wish him all the best in the future.
Though his stint as coach was short, we enthusiastically and gratefully welcome back captain LaNm to help steer this ship with all his experience. Forward and onward!
EHOME rang in the new year with a new roster – keeping only one active member from the 2016 roster – Wang “old chicken” Zhiyong.
The Chinese team brought on board Luo “Xi” Yinqi, Jiang “jdh”‘ Donghao and Hu “Guvara/Sen” Sen as well as welcomed back famed veteran Chen “Cty” Tianyu to the lineup – who left EHOME in March 2016 to play for ViCi Gaming.
Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng had moved into a coaching role while Ren “Old eLeVeN” Yangwei moved into the inactive/sub role.
However, since then, the team continued to fall behind with sub-par results, unable to qualify for any of the major tournaments and placed poorly in events including 13 – 16th at Dota 2 ACE Provisional and 9th in Dota2 Professional League Season 2 – Top.
