The DreamLeague group stage kicks off tonight, featuring Alliance, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Empire, Na’Vi, Virtus.Pro, Burden United, Basically Unknown and Vega Squadron. The DreamLeague Season 3 schedule is packed with 28 matches over the next three weeks. Basically Unknown and Team Empire will break the ice at 18:30 CEST. Empire will then face Vega Squadron, at 21:00 CEST.
The four invited teams – Alliance, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Empire and Natus Vincere, and the four qualified ones – Virtus.Pro, Burden United, Basically Unknown and Vega Squdron will play in a Round Robin best-of-two format. The top 6 teams will advance to the Dreamhack Summer LAN playoffs, in Jönköping, Sweden.
Jorien “Sheever” van der Heijden and Shane “Shaneomad” Clarke will act as hosts, while Andy “Draskyl” Stiles and Owen “ODPixel” Davies will be the in-game commentators. All matches will be broadcast on the DreamLeague stream, and more information is available on the ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season 3 website.

DreamLeague Season 3 qualified teams
The four qualified teams had to jump through hoops to get to play in the League stage of the competition. The ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season 3 format consisted of 8 Open Qualifiers leading to 4 Main Qualifiers.
DreamLeague Season 3 Main Qualifier 1 – April 6-9
Virtus.Pro advance to the League
Virtus.Pro was the first team to qualify for the League, on April 9, after they have shut down Goomba Gaming in the first round and pushed past Hell Raisers in the second round, to face Burden United in the finals.
DreamLeague Season 3 Main Qualifier 2 – April 14-17
Burden United advance to the League
Burden United pushed through the second main qualifiers for the ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season 3, eliminating Basically Unknown in the grand finals, 2:1, after having been knocked out by Virtus.Pro in the first qualifiers.

Basically Unknown advance to the League
Although the third Main Qualifier finals had many issues with what seemed to be DDoS attacks, long pauses, and player replacements, the series finally concluded well into the night with Basically Unknown emerging as victors over 4 Clovers & Lepricon.
DreamLeague Season 3 Main Qualifier 4 – April 28 – May 1
Vega Squadron advance to the League
After two months of qualifiers, Vega Squadron was the last team to join DreamLeague Season 3. With a brand new lineup, Vega Squadron defeated Team Tinker, 2:1, earning the right to compete in the league for the chance to be one of the six teams to battle for the $100,000 prize pool at the LAN playoffs in June. This will be the team’s first online league with Alexey “Solo” Berezin and Andrey “Mag~” Chipenko on the squad.

The “League” will be played between May 4-21. After the May 23-24 super-weekend, six teams will qualify for the LAN playoffs held between June 13-15, in Sweden. The six teams will battle it out for a share of the $100,000 prize pool and will split $30,000 support budget for travel and LAN expenses.
