After an incredibly successful season 4, Dota Pit League Season 5 aims to follow suit with another spectacular event. The tournament will start in early October with open qualifiers leading to regional group stages and eventually another LAN featuring eight of the best teams battling it out for the $125,000 base prize pool in January.
The Dota Pit League Season 5 announcement has revealed another plan for top notch LAN. The fourth season was the first ever LAN in the Dota Pit League series, taking place in a beautiful seaside city with stellar performances and intense Dota 2 matches.
Open Qualifiers will begin next month, in early October where teams will compete for a spot in the regional group stages. The regional phase will begin shortly after in the second half of October.
Six teams will qualify from the regions, joining two directly invited teams to compete in the The Dota Pit League Season 5 LAN event scheduled to take place January 19-22nd.
The eight teams will compete for the $125,000 base prize pool that can be increased through in-game ticket sales and sets that will be available.

Dota Pit Season 4
The >Dota Pit Season 4 LAN finals were held at the Spaladium Arena in Split, Croatia. The venue boasted a 10,000 seating capacity and was built in 2008.
MVP.Phoenix became the DotaPit LAN Champions, as they completely dominated Evil Geniuses and swept through them 3:0.
