Fnatic, Digital Chaos and Alliance have all recently withdrawn from The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 group stages for various reasons. The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 group stages are already underway, with some of the best teams in the world as competitors.

According to the organizers, Digital Chaos were forced to withdraw from the event due to scheduling conflicts and have been replaced with the South American team TShow.
Fnatic had to pull out as well, due to similar reasons, since the Game Show dates were conflicting with their bootcamp for the upcoming Frankfurt Major.
Alliance had to withdraw because of “private matters within the team”.
Further replacements will be announced at a later date.
The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 is currently in the group stages for the EU, SEA and NA regions. Following the group stages, the tournament will move into its Regional Qualifiers phase. Two teams from CIS, EU, China and one team from SEA and NA will advance to the studio playoffs held between November 30 – December 3 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Only four teams will then advance into the final stage of the competition, the Grand Finals which will run within DreamHack Moscow. The event is scheduled to take place between December 5-6.

Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1
The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 was announced in early September, featuring competitors from five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA.
The CIS regional LAN stage of the event took place at Igromir Expo Center, in early October.
The playoff stage of the CIS regional qualifiers kicked off with seven teams, including Arcade.Power Rangers, HellRaisers and CIS Rejects competing at the Igromir Exhibition Center in Moscow for the $20,000 prize pool and two spots for the Studio LAN playoffs. CIS Rejects and ScaryFaceZzz took the first and second place spots.
Game Show Global eSports Cup format
The Game Show Global eSports Cup is being played out in six distinct stages. Open Qualifiers, two Group stages and Regional Qualifiers are held in five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA. The last two phases of the event will feature Studio LAN playoffs and the Grand Finals to be held at the DreamHack LAN event in Moscow, Russia.

The event series will feature online open qualifiers for five regions, Europe, CIS, North America, China and SEA. After the open qualifiers, two group stages will take place followed by regional qualifiers. The best regional teams will then proceed to the Studio LAN playoffs.
To date, only the CIS region has completed the online qualifiers and group stages.

Eight of the best teams from the various regions will compete in the fifth phase of the event series. The Studio LAN playoffs will take place between November 30 – December 3 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Only four teams will reach the Grand Finals of the tournament.

The top four teams from the Studio LAN playoffs will participate in the Grand Finals, which will run within DreamHack Moscow. The event is scheduled to take place between December 5-6.

- 1st place – CIS Rejects – $8,000 + a ticket to the studio LAN final
- 2nd place – ScaryFacezzz – $4,000 + a ticket to the studio LAN final
- 3rd place – HellRaisers $2,500
