Starladder iLeague StarSeries S3 Americas Qualifier was forced into a tie breaker in order to declare a winner. Team NP and Digital Chaos went head to head for the one coveted spot for the main event later this month. When the dust settled, Digital Chaos had emerged as victors. The North American based team joins Wings Gaming, VGJ, iG.Vitality, Team Liquid, Team Secret and TnC Pro in Shanghai, China February 23-26th. One more team will be directly invited.

Starladder iLeague StarSeries S3 Americas Qualifier concluded after being thrust into a tie breaker to determine a winner.
Team NP and Digital Chaos had finished the group stage with impressive records of 5:2:0 – for a total of 17 points.
With only one spot allocated for the region, the decisive tie breaking match was set.
After 34 minutes of teams being neck and neck, Digital Chaos pulled ahead with a powerful surge to claim the victory.
The North American based team secured their place in the upcoming Starladder iLeague StarSeries S3 main event set to take place just over two weeks.
Starladder iLeague StarSeries S3
Eight teams will compete in the third iteration of the joint series between Starladder and iLeague.
The LAN finals are to be held February 23-26 in Shanghai China at the International Gymnastics Center with eight teams competing for the $300,000 prize pool.
The International Gymnastics Center was built in 1997 and is 24,900 square meters to accommodate up to 4,000 viewers.

- Europe: 2 qualified teams – Team Liquid/Team Secret
- America: 1 qualified team – Digital Chaos
- South East Asia: 1 qualified team- TnC Pro
Digital Chaos
The North American team has not made any changes in their roster since the last season.
Last season had been relatively quiet for the team – they took 5-6th place at The Summit 6 and 4th in the offbeat favorite- Elimination Mode 2.0 but then made a much noise at the Boston Major where they took an impressive 3-4th place finish.
Earlier this season they participated in China Top 2016 coming in 3-4th place for the four team exclusive event but most recently the team took the championship title at ESL One Genting 2017 last month.
