compLexity Gaming has announced that their players will be participating in intensive training at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The organization will be the first in esports to be hosted at the facility.
We’re very pleased to be the first Esports organization to utilize all that IMG Academy has to offer. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside and training gamers for 13 years and this type of well-rounded training and education through IMG Academy’s experts is a dream come true for our team.
– Jason Lake, Founder and CEO of Complexity Gaming
The intensive training camp will be taking a holistic approach, focusing on the various elements of optimal performance, such as physical and mental conditioning, cognitive training, nutrition and lifestyle education, and leadership development.
At the moment, the Dota 2 team will not be participating in the training due to their hectic schedule, according to the team’s General Manager, Kyle “Beef” Bautista
@SkimGaming We are hoping to look at some bootcamp in the future, but it is very difficult with their current crazy schedule.

IMG Academy
The IMG Academy was established almost 40 years ago, in 1978, as the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. It started as a full time tennis boarding school aimed at providing students with a custom designed curriculum combined with the best athletic training.
In 1987, it was purchased by IMG – a global sports, other events and talent management company headquartered in New York City. It has since grown into a world renowned school and training facility for athletes of all abilities and experience.
Notable athletes such as Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, various NFL and NBA stars and professional teams such as Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers and the Jacksonville Jaguars, collegiate teams such as Duke University, Michigan University and USC, as well as individual talent and stars have benefited from their programs.
The academy offers programs for tennis, golf, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, football, track & field, and cross country, athletic and personal development, and attracts more than 12,000 athletes from approximately 80 countries every year.
