Coach Mikasa will return to competitive play for ViCi Gaming following a lackluster season so far. Tong “Mikasa” Junjie will step back into the active role, a position he is familiar with and had previous success in last season, moving Zheng “ghost” Jie into the substitute role. The change will take place effective immediately through the remainder of the 2016 year.

Many ViCi Gaming fans rejoice with the return of Coach Mikasa in the team’s active lineup and competition. Tong “Mikasa” Junjie will be replacing the newest member of the team – Zheng “ghost” Jie.
Given our recent subpar performance the team had a meeting and after some serious discussion and understanding of the lack of rhythm and leadership, we’ve made the decision to have Tong “Mikasa” Junjie return to competitive to finish of the year 2016.
Ghost will take on the substitute role and try to relieve the pressure put on him and adjust.
We hope our fans will support the decision and welcome the change!
With Coach Mikasa in the lineup – the team took first place at StarLadder i-League Invitational #1 and qualified for TI6.
The team has had a lackluster season, taking mostly 5-10th place in qualifiers and tournaments across the board since August. They took 5-6th place in both MarsTV Dota 2 League 2016 Autumn and Shanghai Dota 2 Open #2 in October.
The team failed to qualify for Boston Major when they assumed the 7th place position in the group stage with a disappointing 4:5 record.

ViCi Gaming.Reborn has been ‘promoted’ to ViCi Gaming – as the main squad. For the Fall Major 2016 season, the team had made only one change in the roster.
Wang “Nono” Xin was replaced by Zheng “ghost” Jie from FTD.C who had begun his professional Dota 2 career in December 2015 playing for FTD Club.
Many fans were not surprised to see NoNo replaced. In the season leading up to TI6, NoNo did not participate in the SL i-League Invitational and TI6 Chinese Regional qualifiers due to visa and family issues, respectively. His absence in the lineup led to speculation that he was not an active member of the team. However, when Zhou “Yang” Haiyang’s TI6 visa was denied, coach Mikasa was forced to stand in with the team in Yang’s stead and consequently required that NoNo participate in the event.
Then known as ViCi Gaming.Reborn – the team took 13-16th place after being eliminated by TnC Gaming in the first round of Lower Brackets.
