Virtus.Pro emerged from the CIS Kiev Major qualifiers completely unscathed as they destroyed all of their opponents with ease. The CIS team will be heading to the Kiev Major to take place between April 27th – April 30th, joining Wings Gaming, Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses, Newbee, OG, Team Liquid, Ad Finem, Team VG.J, Team Faceless, TnC Pro and iG.Vitality.

Virtus.Pro utterly dominated in CIS Kiev Major qualifiers.
The CIS team breezed through the group stage with flawless and compelling performances. Their journey through the playoffs were just as impressive, always coming out ahead and as the better team in the upper brackets.
In the grand finals, Virtus.Pro absolutely shellacked Na’Vi in approximately 24 minutes each game – the first ending in a 3:22 score.
TVirtus.Pro withdrew from StarLadder iLeague StarSeries Season 3 one day prior to Phase 3 of the European qualifiers beginning in order to focus on training for the Kiev Major – their decision and hard work seemingly paid off in the end.
Their win secured them a place among the best at the Kiev Major.
Virtus.Pro CIS Kiev Major qualifiers winners
The CIS stronghold has not made any changes in their roster for the new major season.
The new roster led by Alexey “Solo” Berezin was revealed early August, prior to the post-TI6 reshuffle.
VP took their first title for the new season in BTS EU series #4.
The team has risen to the ranks of being considered one of the most feared opponents lately. Following their first title, the continued by taking the qualifier spots for The Summit 6, Dota Pit Leagues Season 5, Boston Major, and ESL One Genting 2017. THey then took second place DreamLeague Season 6 and another championship title – at The Summit 6.
They had a strong showing and took 5-8th place at the Boston Major to round out their successful year.
Heading into 2017, they took 3-4th at ESL One Genting, 5-6th in Dota Pit Season 5.

Kiev Major
The Kiev Major is scheduled to take place between April 27-30th at the National Palace of Arts, in Kiev, Ukraine. National Palace of Arts is one of the main theater venues in Kiev, Ukraine. It was opened in 1970 with a seating capacity of almost 4,000 in the main concert hall – approximately the same size as Wang Theater where the Boston Major was held this last fall.
In the past, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 hosted CS:GO at the event successfully.
The event will be hosted by PGL and will be the last Major ore-TI7.

- The Kiev Major group stage will take place starting April TBA.
- The Kiev Major main event will take place between April 27-30th at the National Palace of Arts, in Kiev, Ukraine.
