Bazaar.Y secured a spot in the regional qualifiers after coming out on top in the Kiev Major SEA Open Qualifiers after upsetting White Fries Gaming 2:1.
The youth squad will compete alongside Team Bazaar – after both teams toppled over legendary players Benedict Lim “hyhy” Han Yong, Lee “kYxY” Kong Yang, Ng “YamateH” Wei Poong and Wai Pern “Net” Lim.
After the one match elimination portion of the brackets, the team faced a Singaporean and Malaysian mix – New Beginnings. They dropped the first match of the series but rebounded back to advance to the grand finals and face the favored White Fries Gaming.
The battle for the spot was fierce, requiring all three games to determine a winner. A stunning 68 minute first match gave Bazaar.Y the first win, but their enthusiasm was quickly dropped with the second match loss in only 28 minutes. Pulling themselves together, they rebounded to the last match and series victory.
Bazaar.Y will go up against Clutch Gamers, Team Faceless, Execration, Rex Regum Qeon, Geek Fam, TNC Pro Team, Mineski, Prestige World Wide and their sister Team Bazaar in the Kiev Major SEA Regional Qualifiers, scheduled to take place between March 11-12.
The Kiev Major will be held in Kiev, Ukraine, between April 27-30th, at National Palace of Arts, with a set $3,000,000 prize pool. Sixteen teams will compete at the main event hosted by PGL.
