BAFTA have announced their British Academy Games Awards nominations. Forty-four games are being recognized in 17 categories. Dota 2 is among the nominees for the AMD eSports Audience Award, an award voted on by the public. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony taking place on Thursday, April 7th, at the Tobacco Dock, in London. The event will be broadcast live on Twitch.

Forty-four games have been recognized in 17 different categories, showcasing local UK games and international game development teams.
Dota 2 has been listed among the nominations for the AMD eSports Audience Award. Other nominees include: Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, League of Legends and SMITE. The winner of this award will be decided by public vote and presented at the ceremony.

Comedian and gamer Dara O’Briain will host the British Academy Games Awards on Thursday, April 7th, at the Tobacco Dock in London. The awards ceremony includes a champagne reception, dinner and after party.
The event will be streamed live at Twitch.tv.
