ASUS.Polar gets renamed under their original branding organization Virtus.Pro.
Keeping the current ASUS.Polar line-up, the team will remain under the same organization, while only changing the team name and tag. The adjustments come at a well-suited time, as the team has begun to show some stability after recent roster changes. The International 5 qualifiers and invites are approaching quickly and it would seem that the organization is hoping that a Virtus.Pro branding and a roster that has been primarily formed from within their organization will be their ticket to an invite.
An official release by Virtus.Pro clarifies the change of course:
The International 2015 qualifiers are imminent, supposing the team will receive direct invitations from Valve. As Virtus.Pro didn’t currently have a Dota 2 squad, we decided to try our luck on the world stage, bearing the VP banner!
