The Nanyang Championships LAN Finals groups have been decided, pitting five teams against each other in each group. One team from each group will be eliminated and the rest of them will advance into the playoffs. The event takes place between October 26th – November 1st, at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, and the teams will compete for the $214,088 prize pool.

Three days before the biggest Dota 2 LAN tournament held in Singapore, the Nanyang Championships have revealed the groups for the LAN playoffs. The teams have been broken down into two groups of five, with the last place team in each group being eliminated before the playoff phase. The top two teams of each group will advance to the upper brackets, while the following two teams will be seeded into the lower brackets.

*According to the information published by Chinese website fight.pcgames.com.cn, citing “Nanyang officials”, and confirmed by the organizers on Facebook, North-American team Cloud 9 – winner of the regional Nanyang Championships qualifiers – was forced to withdraw from the main event, due to Theeban “1437” Siva’s failure to renew his passport in short order, and thus his inability to travel to Singapore. Cloud 9 will be replaced by the Nanyang Championship regional qualifiers’ runners-up, Digital Chaos.

- 8 teams compete in Double Elimination format
- Round 1 & Round 2 of the Lower Bracket (Best-of-One)
- All other matches are Best-of-Three

- No Upper Bracket advantage

- 2nd place $50,000 + 24% crowdfunded amount
