Cloud 9 were forced to pull out of the Nanyang Championships main event, due to Theeban “1437” Siva’s lack of time to sort out travel requirements. Cloud 9 will be replaced by the regional qualifiers’ runners-up, Digital Chaos. The Nanyang Championships main event is scheduled to take place at the Suntec Convention and Event Centre, in Singapore, between October 26th and November 1st.
According to the information published by Chinese website fight.pcgames.com.cn, citing “Nanyang officials”, North-American team Cloud 9 – winner of the regional Nanyang Championships qualifiers – was forced to withdraw from the main event, due to Theeban “1437” Siva’s failure to renew his passport in short order, and thus his inability to travel to Singapore.

Cloud 9 had qualified for the Nanyang Championships main event, after taking down Digital Chaos, 3:0, in the Americas qualifiers’ finals.
Although the team had secured a main event spot more than one month ago, their participation in the Frankfurt Major regional qualifiers and their trip to New Orleans for the MLG World Finals left Theeban “1437” Siva with too little time to handle the travel requirements for Singapore.
