After upsetting the qualifiers’ favorites, Fnatic, by 2:1, Mineski grabbed the first main event spot.
Fnatic had a second chance to qualify for the Frankfurt Major in the Lower Bracket finals against Team123.
In a clean sweep, they managed to come out on top and claim the second available spot.

Frankfurt Dota Major SEA playoffs format

Fnatic 1:2 Mineski – In the first game, Mineski seemed to have a bit of an edge in the early game. Even though Fnatic started to get pick-offs and were making some useful movements, Mineski’s Spectre quickly became too much to handle. By the end of the game, Spectre’s networth was 7K gold higher than Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung’s Shadow Fiend, the next most farmed hero.
Armed with a Tiny-Io combo in the second game, Fnatic seemed like an almost entirely different team, as they steamrolled through Mineski in 25 minutes, with a 23:7 score. Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier and Djardel Jicko B. “DJ” Mampusti synchronized perfectly, pushing the Malaysian team to a third deciding game.
It didn’t take much time for Mineski to take control of the last game. Within the first few minutes, they had already made a few kills and were leading the game. In only 21 minutes, they took the victory and claimed the first spot in the Frankfurt Dota Major main event.
- Mineski have taken the first of the two spots allocated for the SEA region in the Frankfurt Dota Major main event. Fnatic were sent to the Lower Bracket finals to face Team123.

Team123 0:2 Fnatic – In the first game, the Medusa pick for Black^ was successful. The other team members made space for him to farm effectively and put pressure on the map. Black^ topped the networth chart with a 7K gold lead over YamateH from Team 123.
In the second game, an overwhelmingly farmed Alchemist played by Black^ and a few amazing ganks by DJ managed to keep Team123’s Spectre in check and Fnatic managed to overpower them in 32 minutes.
- Fnatic have qualified for the Frankfurt Dota Major, after eliminating YamateH’s Team123, 2:0, in the Lower Bracket finals.
