HellRaisers are making a long awaited return to competition in the ESL One New York Open Qualifiers. Their lineup is comprised of their three core players – Afoninje, goddam and Dread – and two new players, MeTTpum and RodjER – who have not been officially announced as permanent members yet.
In mid June, HellRaisers announced that they had parted ways with Ivan “gorec” Kartankov and Artyom “Artes” Gorobey, due to “internal conflicts”.
No replacements have been officially announced, however the organization did report “the management and players were patiently waiting for the end of The International 2015 to update the roster.” They then launched a contest regarding the Hellraisers new roster, on the team’s Facebook page.
The two new players competing with HellRaisers are both Russian players who have been involved in various CIS teams in the past. Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan has played for Cleave and “MeTTpum” has played with IDEC.
HellRaisers
HellRaisers is an esports organization with teams in both Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. In August, 2014, HellRaisers picked up the team “Relax, you’re doing fine”, which was originally founded in 2013 by Andrey “Dread” Golubev.
After most of the team departed between September and October, HellRaisers then picked up Kompas.Gaming’s lineup and replaced “PSM” with “Dread”.
Since then, the team has won a considerable number of tournaments, placing first and second in MSI Dragon Battles, JoinDOTA Masters, GIGABYTE, Battle of Central Europe, Yard Festival, Esportal and fourth at the Red Bull Battle Grounds, where they defeated Team Empire, Na’Vi and Virtus.Pro to qualify for their spot.
HellRaisers had a disappointing performance during the TI5 European Qualifiers, where they placed last in their group, with 3 draws, one loss, and a total of only 3 points.
