Vega will be withdrawing from the Game Show Invitational, due to tight scheduling and their participation in the upcoming TI5 Wild Card Series. There will be no replacements for the team, since the tournament is underway and already in the last phases of the final brackets.
Sixteen teams have been competing in the Game Show Invitational for a prize pool of $15,000. The Russian squad had been invited to participate in the main event. After falling to 4 Clovers & Lepricon in the Upper Brackets, 1:2, they swept Next.Kz, 2:0 in the Lower Brackets and were scheduled to face Power Rangers next, who will now receive the default win.
The next match for the event is scheduled between Goomba Gaming and Burden United in the Lower Brackets, on June 22nd, at 18:00 CEST.

The Russian based squad made the official announcement on their website with a statement from the organization’s general manager Vanja “HighArT” Šimunec:
We are very sorry for withdrawing from GSI, and we apologize to our fans who probably expected another title from us, but The International is coming, and preparations are already underway, big time. We are already preparing all documents, so everything would be ready in time for our trip to conquer Seattle. We are preparing a 2 week bootcamp in Moscow, right before our trip to Seattle, which will be an amazing experience for us and our players.
Vega Squadron surprised many when they showed strong performances in the TI5 European qualifiers and grabbed the Wild Card Series slot for the biggest tournament of the year.
The team will compete in the Esportal Dota 2 League finals, which will be held online, starting June 25th. The team will face Ninjas in Pyjamas as their first opponent in the $64,000 tournament.
Last night, Vega Squadron won the Mountain Trail Challenge, after defeating Power Rangers, 3:1.
