Team Secret has been eliminated from the Boston Major Qualifiers. The European/SEA mix dropped out after two consecutive wipe outs at the hands of Ad Finem and then Virtus.Pro. This markes the first time that captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov will not participate in a Valve sponsored event. Virtus.Pro, Ad Finem and Team Liquid are still left to compete for the two spots for the Boston Major.
Unfortunately our run at the Boston Major qualifiers has come to an end. Good game to @TeamVirtuspro, and good luck to those that remain.

Team Secret started out the EU Boston Major Qualifiers looking strong. They finished second with a 7:2 finish and some remarkable matches under their belt.
Moving into the Boston Major Qualifiers playoffs they first went head to head with Ad Finem. The all Greek squad have been on fire this event and overpowered Team Secret in a 2:0 sweep. The Greeks had outperformed the notorious team and sent them to the lower brackets to fight against elimination.
Virtus.Pro have been another powerhouse this series. In the lower bracket first round, Team Secret and the CIS team clashed hard. Team Secret was unable to hold on to their early lead and after 52 minutes they dropped the first match. The second game of back and forth leads and excitement took a whopping 72 minutes. When the dust settled, VP were left standing as victors. Their 2:0 sweep eliminated Team Secret.
This will be the first Valve event that famed Estonian and team captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov will not participate in. Puppey competed in TI1, TI2, TI3 and TI4 with Na’Vi and then TI5, Frankfurt Major, Shanghai Major, Manila Major and TI6 with Team Secret.
Ad Finem, Team Liquid and Virtus.Pro are the only three teams remaining. Only two will advance tomorrow to the Boston Major. The EU Boston Major Qualifiers playoffs will continue tomorrow at 14:00 CET between Ad Finem and Team Liquid fighting for the first spot at the Boston Major.
