The Chinese roster shuffle season is over. However, it seems like changes are brewing in the E-Home and DK rosters.
It has been rumored that E-Home has requested permission from ACE (the Chinese tournament regulation group) to use Team DK’s mid player, Tian Yu “Cty” Chen, as a stand-in player for the upcoming MarsTv Dota 2 League, since DK is not participating in the tournament.
When contacted by DotaBlast, E-HOME representatives confirmed the loan, adding that they cannot divulge the finer details of the deal.
In addition to the use of Cty, an unknown, new player has been seen practicing with the team. The mysterious player is only identified as “BoA”. There is no information regarding BoA for now, but the switch seemed to occur after E-Home’s loss to Newbee in the ESL One qualifiers.
With ACE announcing that Chinese teams had to finish their reshuffles by March 15, and The International 5 direct and qualifier invites looming, this news is uncharacteristic for the Chinese teams, E-HOME and DK in particular.
The move stirs many questions
- Who is this mysterious BoA?
- Why would Cty be playing for E-Home if they already acquired BoA?
- Is BoA really Cty in hiding?
- Will ACE approve more games and tournaments?
- Will Cty become a permanent member of E-Home?
- How will this impact E-Home and DK for The International 5 invites, seeing that both teams were identified as options in the Compendium, for owners to predict as an invitee.
