Execration
Execration had a rough start going into the SEA Regional Qualifiers – losing their first series against WG.Unity, 2-0, and ending up in the Lower Brackets. Luckily, their road to TI6 did not end there. They managed to win their match-up against White Fries Gaming and exacted their revenge on WG.Unity, knocking them out of contention after a 2:1 series. Their victory secured them at least a trip to Seattle for the TI6 Wild Card series – becoming part of Filipino and TI history as one of two teams from the Philippines to attend The International.
In the post TI6 shuffle Djardel “DJ” Mampusti left Fnatic only hours after the first phase of the new Fall Major team registration began.
Within the same 24 hours it was surprising for many to see Fernando “Nando” Mendoza and Ralph Richard “RR” Peñano were let go from Execration.
With DJ playing in ProDota Cup series against RRQ and one report, that the team recruited Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte Santos from Acion Arena – the team seems to be shaping up to be a new threat in the region.
