Liu “Sylar” Jiajun has joined the EHOME roster alongside returning members Wang “old chicken” Zhiyong and Ren “old eLeVeN” Yangwei. The three famed Chinese players have officially locked into EHOME for the Fall Major 2016 season. Sylar most likely assumes the position left open by the departure of Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang earlier this month. As of now, it is not revealed if Lu “Fenrir” Chao or Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng will be returning.
According to the official team roster registration page, Liu “Sylar” Jiajun has joined up with the Chinese powerhouse team EHOME. In addition, both Wang “old chicken” Zhiyong and Ren “old eLeVeN” Yangwei have registered their return with the team.
Sylar will most likely be assuming the carry role left vacant as Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang has left to SEA to create his new team – Team Faceless with Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier, Wong “NutZ” Jeng Yih, Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong and Toh “Xy-” Wai Hong.
Thus far there is no official word on if Lu “Fenrir” Chao or Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng will return to the team for the season.
New players can then be added between September 4th-18th. The rosters will become locked on September 18th, at 12:00AM PDT.
EHOME took 5-6th place at TI6 after being knocked out by Digital Chaos in the lower brackets round 4.
Liu “Sylar” Jiajun
Liu began his career in early 2011, when he joined the team World Elite. However, upon ZSMJ‘s departure from LGD and retirement from DotA in late 2011, Sylar left World Elite to join LGD for the first time.
After the disappointing performance at TI3, he would leave LGD and join Rising Stars for only one month before moving to ViCi Gaming. He was a part of their TI4 second place roster. Despite their victorious placement at the event, Sylar would leave ViCi Gaming and return to LGD in August of 2014, where he was able to claim third place at TI5.
In April 2016, Sylar joined ViCi Gaming. The team had underwhelming performances and did not end up participating in TI6.
EHOME
Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang and Lu “Fenrir” Chao, two former Vici Gaming players, joined the EHOME roster in March 2016. Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng switched to the carry position and iceiceice started playing support alongside Fenrir. The changes were drastic, but the Chinese team was set on making big improvements coming into the new season after a 9th-12th place finish at the Shanghai Major.
EHOME received a direct invite at the end of January, after they took third at the Nanyang Championships LAN, fourth at the Frankfurt Major, received a direct invite to the Shanghai Major and took the championship title for Dota 2 Radiant & Dire Cup.
The new lineup only participated in the fourth season/week of the H-CUP, where they took second place. They were then invited to participate in ESL One Manila but had taken a dissapointing 7-8th place. They also missed out on the Manila Major, having taking second place after being wiped out by Newbee 3:0 in the Grand Finals.
Their roles once again seemed to change as the team tried to evolve and grow. EHOME had a smooth journey through the Chinese Regional Qualifiers, ending up with the third place – Wild Card spot.
Working hard they redeemed themselves, cruising through the TI6 Wild Card series and taking first place in their group. After defeating Alliance 2:0 they were knocked to the lower brackets by Evil Geniuses in the Upper Brackets round 2 – where they would end their journey.
