Kaipi had bested Escape Gaming 3:1 in the upper bracket finals to secure their place at the main event of WCA 2016 scheduled in December.
Vega had then defeated Escape Gaming 3:2 in a thrilling full five game series.
Although they both qualified, Kaipi and Vega have yet to still battle it out for the 1st/2nd place spot and prize distribution.
The best-of-five series will take place September 1st at 17:00 CEST broadcast in English on MoonDuckTV.
In March, it was announced that WCA 2016 would feature three seasons, winners from each competing for the $760,000 prize pool at the LAN finals in Yinchuan, China, in December.
