SL iLeague StarSeries s2 details have been announced close to the witching hour.
The event, originally expected to be held starting on July 19th, will now be held between July 21-24 in Los Angeles at the BTS house.
Eight teams will gather to compete for the $300,000 prize pool – including the three long awaited revealed invited teams – Evil Geniuses, Team Secret and Na’Vi.
According to organizers:
StarLadder and Imba TV considered suggestions of the teams, that’s why the upcoming finals will be hosted in a friendly and cozy atmosphere of BTS house. Holding the tournament in the United States will also allow the teams to avoid unnecessary flights and changes of time zones after The Summit and before TI. It means we will get the dota we love, without jetlags and other LAN difficulties.
However, the late notice and announcement is marred with rumors that the organizers were unable to secure a venue – resulting in last minute changes.
Starladder didn't schedule a venue and BTS bailed them out, that's the real reason guys :$
