The TI6 Qualifiers SEA results for day 3 are in. Fnatic and WarriorsGaming.Unity have advanced in the upper brackets, Execration is in the lower brackets and White Fries has been eliminated. The double elimination brackets will continue tomorrow June 28, at 04:00 CEST
The TI6 Qualifiers SEA results from the playoffs were not completely unexpected as Fnatic had progressed to the Upper Brackets with ease. In 2:0 sweeps both teams had little trouble to take the upper road towards TI6.
It was more expected to see Execration progress as they had been tied for the top position yesterday, competing in the tie-breakers that sent TnC directly to TI6. The Filipino team had suffered two loses. Instead, WarriorsGaming.Unity pulled an upset with a smooth 2:0 victory.
White Fries Gaming struggled and was unable to seize even one victory in the playoffs. They were quickly eliminated and the hopes of Benedict Lim “hyhy” Han Yong returning for a TI were crushed.
The matches resume on June 28, at 04:00 CEST, and are expected to be intense, as the teams continue their quest within the second stage of the qualifiers – the double elimination brackets and Grand Finals. Only one team will claim the regional spot for the TI6 and one team will have to try their luck in the TI6 Wild Card series.

After a bad team fight for White Fries, Fnatic seized the lead and the momentum, sailing all the way to the victory.

Upper Bracket preliminaries Execration vs WarriorsGaming.Unity
The first match of the series saw XctN go with the Tiny-Io combo while WG.U picked up both a Timbersaw and Invoker – both heros having extraordinary performances. The laning phase and early game were even as XctN started to pick up the lead about 10 minutes in. Struggling to maintain it over the next 20 minutes, WG.U were finally able to break through and come online to seize the lead about 30 minutes in and hold on to it until claiming the first victory. It took almost one hour for the team to close out the deal.
The second match of the series was XctN’s turn to pick up the Timbersaw but WG.U shut the hero down quickly. Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son had a perfect game on LifeStealer as did Tui “Zacky” Jun Jie on Vengeful Spirit while Kam “NaNa” Boon Seng had an amazing game on Clinkz – ending with a 14:3:7 score. The first match of the series took a whopping one hour to close out. With incredible swings back and forth between the teams, it seemed that White Fries was going to take the victory. Taking the lead in net-worth and in kills, the team looked prime but a bad team fight evened out the game and second one gave Execration the lead. XctN took the victory despite being behind in the 36:15 score.
