ESL One Manila Regional Qualifiers for Europe and America are getting ready to commence. With the open qualifiers having been wrapped up for the two regions, the regional qualifiers will take place to determine which ONE team from each region will participate in the main event. The tournament is scheduled to take place between April 23-24, at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila, Philippines. Eight teams – two invited, two from SEA, one from Philippines, one from America, one from Europe and one from China – will compete for the $250,000 prize pool.

The details revealed include schedule, format and list of teams for ESL One Manila Regional Qualifiers for Europe and America.
The qualifiers will begin on Friday February 5th at 18:00 CET for both regions.
January 30th concluded the European Open Qualifiers, giving HWA, STARK, Ad Finem, PRIES the opportunity to participate in the European regionals.
The America Open Qualifiers have also just ended with paiN, unknown, Colossus, EnemyGG advancing.
The Philippines are still currently undergoing the local qualifiers. The Philippine open qualifiers are a series of qualifiers that spans seven weeks, ending on March 6th.
Chinese and SEA regional qualifiers have not been held as of yet.
The ESL One Manila Regional Qualifiers teams
The invited teams are ranked in a tier system that was used for ESL One Frankfurt 2015. The Tier 1 invites start in the first round against the four qualified teams. The Tier 2 invites start in the quarterfinals against the previous round’s victors.

ESL One Manila invited teams
Towards the end of January, ESL One had announced that EHOME was the first team to accept the direct invite to the main event. The Chinese stars were the first of two teams to accept the direct invitation.
Only days later, it was revealed that Team Liquid was the second, and final, team to accept the invite.

On December 8th ESL One announced the organization’s first Dota 2 tournament to be held in Southeast Asia. ESL One Manila will be organized in collaboration with PLDT Fibr and GameX and is Southeast Asia’s first premier esports event.
ESL One Manila will take place between April 23-24, at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila, Philippines.
In effort to grow the local scene and showcase regional talent, a local Filipino Dota 2 team will qualify to compete alongside some of the best Dota 2 teams in the world for a $250,000 prize pool.

Tickets have gone on sale and are available for prices ranging from $10 for a general admission two-day pass, to $106 for VIP tickets which include free food and drinks, goodie bags, exclusive signing sessions and premium seating in front of the stage.

The Mall of Asia Arena is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Manila, Philippines. A rather new, state-of-the-art building, the arena has only been inaugurated in 2012 and has a seating capacity of 16,000 for sporting events, and a full house capacity of 20,000.
