The Chinese organization, Team DK, has called it quits, dissolving the entire company with all divisions, including Dota 2 and their recent addition of Heroes of the Storm.
A well known powerhouse in the Chinese region between 2011-2014, Team DK has had a substandard past year.
The news came in the form of a Weibo post, where Team DK confirmed the rumors that they would be indeed dissolving the organization.
In a translation of the full statement, the hardships the organization was facing were made clear.
The macro esports environment is becoming increasingly deformed, with streaming platforms poaching from teams to malicious competition. To put it bluntly, if you don’t bring out more and more money don’t bother continuing (…) Today, DK’s journey come to an end. I believe DK’s accomplishments and our results will be recorded for all posterity, and will still be remembered in the future, but the stories and the feelings that DK brought to the people will be fading away with the wind and the rain. See you again.

In September, DK split their team into two teams, DK Renaissance and DK Scuderia. DK.S had a steady presence in the Chinese regional tournaments and qualifiers lately, but no achievements.
Team DK
Formed in 2010, DK was undoubtedly the greatest beneficiary of the Great Chinese Shuffle, when they suddenly signed Bu “YaphetS” Yanjun, Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei, and Zhou “KingJ” Yang.
However, due to a slump, Yaphets and KingJ left the team. Burning was joined by Huang “LongDD” Xiang and DK started to dominate the scene.
Team DK, dubbed the “Galacticos” of the Chinese scene, was one of the strongest Chinese Dota 2 teams until the second half of 2014. Over the years, the organization had various roster changes, and welcomed many famous Chinese players.
Following TI4, Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng and BurNIng announced their retirement. Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang, Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung, and Lei “MMY!” Zengrong left the squad on August 26th.

The organization was never able to fully recover. In March, they announced their new lineup, one that never had much success. In April 2015, Chen “Cty” Tianyu was loaned out to EHOME.
Team DK was invited to the first International but was unable to make it, due to roster changes and passport issues. The team placed 4th at TI2, 5th-6th at TI3, and 4th again at TI4.
