WCA 2016 first season EU open qualifiers will begin starting next week, July 15. The open qualifiers will kick off the first round of the qualifier stage for season 1. EU regional qualifiers will begin on July 18th with more details to be released soon.
WCA 2016 will feature three seasons, winners from each competing for the $760,000 prize pool at the LAN finals in Yinchuan, China, in December.
WCA 2016 first season EU open qualifiers will start on Friday July 15 – spanning two days. FACEIT will be hosting the qualifiers for the region in which up to 512 teams can participate in.
Two teams will advance to the WCA 2016 first season EU closed qualifiers. They will join another six invited teams – yet to be announced. Closed qualifiers are expected to be single elimination with one team claiming the spot in the main event.
WCA 2016 first season league is expected to take place after TI6 and will include seven invited teams and the one qualified team fighting for the spot to attend WCA 2016 in China and a piece of the $60,000 league prize pool.

The WCA 2016 in-game ticket has appeared in the Dota 2 store.
The $2.99 ticket will be valid only for season #1. It is expected that each subsequent season will have its own new ticket to be purchased.

The WCA 2015 Grand Finals concluded, giving Alliance their first championship title in one and a half years. The Swedish team bested LGD Gaming in the best-of-five Grand Finals to place their mark on the international scene once again.

World Cyber Arena
The World Cyber Arena (WCA) is one of the premier organizers of global esports tournaments. In 2015 it boasted a prize pool totaling $3.9 million dollars; the comprehensive series featured four separate titles with invite-only Pro Qualifiers and Open Qualifiers. Players competed for cash and a trip to Yinchuan, China, to play at the WCA 2015 Finals for their share of the $1.9 million Finals prize pool across all titles – WarCraft III, CrossFire, Dota 2, Hearthstone, and Heroes of The Storm.
