Four of the Vega Squadron players have left for Frankfurt, earlier today. The CIS team is put in dire straits only four days before the beginning of the Frankfurt Major group stages, as Semion “CemaTheSlayer” Krivulya was forced to stay behind in Moscow, due to visa issues.

According to Vega Squadron’s announcement, CemaTheSlayeR will join the rest of the team in Frankfurt, upon resolving his visa situation.
9Pasha, No[o]ne, Mag and Solo with our team manager and camera man departed on Monday, while Vega’s captain CeMaTheSlayeR and CEO Alexey Kondakov are still staying in Moscow for solution of visas issues. When all the problems will be resolved, Alexey and Semyon will join the others.
Although CemaTheSlayeR has faced visa issues before, he was able to secure his US visa for The International 5, on his third attempt. At the beginning of October, CemaTheSlayeR traveled overseas and reentered the United States, for the ESL One New York LAN event.
In the event that CemaTheSlayeR is left with too little time to secure a visa, Vega Squadron have two registered substitutes – Kirill “Sunlight” Kachinsky and Igor “Nexus” Lisakovsky – who could step in and fill the position.
If, however, CemaTheSlayeR manages to join his teammates in due time for the Frankfurt Major group stages, it will be interesting to see how the delayed departure frustration and shortened time to acclimate will affect Vega Squadron come November 13th.
Vega Squadron received a direct invite to the Frankfurt Major after claiming the ESL One New York championship title, earlier this season. The Frankfurt Major will start on November 13th, with the group stages, and run through the 21st, with the double elimination main event.
According to David “GoDz” Parker, co-founder of Beyond The Summit, both LGD Gaming and CDEC have had their first visa applications for Frankfurt denied and are currently still waiting for their second requests to come through.
@BTSGoDz @CDECgaming Unfortunately not yet, we'll find out in about 2 days if our visas this time got approved. Fingers crossed!

Due to passport issues and their failure to register a substitute before the September 5th roster lock deadline, Invictus Gaming were forced to concede their Frankfurt Major spot. They will be replaced by Newbee.Young.
