Vega completed their lineup with Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko in the mid lane role. Earlier in the month it was revealed that Fng would be joining the organization following the complete dissolution of Virtus.Pro. With the new Vega lineup finalized, fans can expect to see them in action as soon as August 24th for the WCA 2016 EU qualifiers.

Vega has rounded out their roster for the Fall Major season with Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko. Iceberg was most recently a part of Polarity for a few weeks before the team completely disbanded, but is most known for his time on Team Spirit.
Icerberg was part of the original Team Spirit roster which started out as CIS rejects last September with ARTES, Gorec, VANSKOR, and ALWAYSWANNAFLY.
As part of the team he had a very strong presence in EU region, participating in the regional qualifiers, minor tournaments and a few premier events such as StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 1, MarsTV Dota 2 League Winter 2015, WePlay Dota 2 League Season 3 and in the Shanghai Major, eventually placing 13-16th at the event.
With lack of desired achievements and instability, the team officially disbanded before TI6.
Earlier in August it was announced that Artsiom “Fng” Barshak was to be joining Vega Squadron. With the team now complete, they look towards the new season and are scheduled to be playing in the WCA 2016 EU qualifiers starting tomorrow. Their first match will be against Alliance on August 24th at 17:00 CEST.
Vega Squadron
Vega Squadron surprised many when they surged forward, showing strong performances in the TI5 European qualifiers and grabbing the Wild Card Series slot for the biggest tournament of the year. Although they failed to advance in the main event of TI5, the squad remained committed to each other and did not fall victim to post-TI roster changes.
They managed to upset TI5 champions Evil Geniuses in a clean 2:0 sweep and cruised to the ESL One New York grand finals to defeat Team Secret, 2:1, and claim the championship title. When it came time for teams to make roster changes for the following season, Vega remained committed to each other once again, but without enjoying much success the CIS team made their first roster changes since before TI5 at the end of March.
The team has been competing in less of the premier and major events and most recently Vega rose up to the occasion and grabbed third place in the Game Show Global Esports Cup and 5th-6th at Starladder iLeague Invitational. Their most recent notable result was 3-4th at ESL One Frankfurt 2016.
