The invited teams to participate in the The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 regional qualifiers has started to filter in, confirming some of the biggest and best names of the world as competitors. CDEC, Fnatic, Alliance, compLexity and Vega Squadron are among the representatives from the various regions.

The open qualifiers begin November 11 and will be followed by two group stages. Following the group stages, the Regional Qualifiers will take place with two teams from CIS, EU, China and one team from SEA and NA advancing to the playoffs held at the studio November 30 – December 3 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Only four teams will then advance to the Grand Finals which will run within DreamHack Moscow. The event is scheduled to take place December 5-6.
It is expected that the Regional team lists will continue to grow and be announced in the next few days and weeks.

Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1
In early September it was announced that The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 would be taking place, featuring five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA. Slots would be distributed over five regions – North America, Europe, CIS, China, and SEA.
In Early October the CIS regional LAN event portion took place at Igromir Expo Center.
The playoff stage of the CIS regional qualifiers portion of the Game Show Global eSports Cup kicked with weven teams, including Arcade.Power Rangers, HellRaisers and CIS Rejects are competing at the Igromir Exhibition Center in Moscow for the $20,000 prize pool and two spots for the Studio LAN finals. CIS Rejects and ScaryFaceZzz took the first and second place spots.
Game Show Global eSports Cup format
The Game Show Global eSports Cup is being played out in six distinct stages. Open Qualifiers, two Group stages and Regional Qualifiers will be held in five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA. The last two phases of the event will feature LAN playoffs in the Studio and the Grand Finals to be held at the DreamHack LAN event in Moscow, Russia.
Game Show Global eSports Cup Regional Qualifiers
The event series will feature online open qualifiers for five regions, Europe, CIS, North America, China and SEA. After the open qualifiers, two group stages will take place followed by regional qualifiers. The best regional teams will then proceed to the Studio LAN playoffs.
To date, only the CIS region has completed the online qualifiers and group stages.
Game Show Global eSports Cup Studio LAN finals
Eight of the best teams from the various regions will compete in the fifth phase of the event series. The Studio Stage of the LAN Finals will take place from November 30 – December 3 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Only four teams will reach the grand final of the tournament.

The four top teams from the Studio LAN finals will participate in the Grand Finals, which will run within DreamHack Moscow. The event is scheduled to take place December 5-6.

- 2nd place — $65,000
- 3rd place — $35,000
- 4th place — $25,000
The studio LAN Finals (Lithuania)
- 1st-4th places — the allotted portion from the grand final
- 5th-8th places — $15,000 total
The CIS LAN qualifiers (Igromir)
- 1st place – CIS Rejects – $8,000 + a ticket to the studio LAN final
- 2nd place – ScaryFacezzz – $4,000 + a ticket to the studio LAN final
- 3rd place – HellRaisers $2,500
- 4th place – New Team123123 $1,500
- 5-7th places — $1,000
