The International 5 tickets on sale soon

Valve releases information on The International 5 (TI5) dates and ticket sales. The most anticipated tournament of the year for Dota 2 players and fans will be held at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington, from August 3 to August 8.

Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster on Friday, March 27, at 10 am PDT and again at 10 pm PDT. The cost per ticket is $99 for all 6 days of the main event. Valve is expected to provide additional information in the near future.

Team invites have not been announced as of yet, and the qualifiers are anticipated to be held the last week of May. Thus far, the only information released is that the main event will feature 16 teams.

The International is the annual Dota 2 tournament hosted by Valve Corporation. The International made its debut in August 2011, with a total prize pool of $1.6 million. Last year’s event, TI4, took place from July 18 to July 21 at the KeyArena, in Seattle, Washington. The Dota 2 community contributed with a staggering $9,331,105 to the 1.6 million base prize pool, making the total prize pool of almost $11 million the largest in eSports history. The International titleholder is Chinese team Newbee.

The KeyArena is a multi-purpose arena in Seattle, Washington, with a maximum capacity of over 17,000.
