With a challenge from Team Secret to Invictus Gaming reflected, Team Malaysia was the third and final team eliminated from the Red Bull Battle Grounds offline playoffs. Having not lost a single life between both IG and Team Secret, the two teams will battle it out at the Red Bull Battle Grounds Grand Finals in San Francisco, on May 10.
Summer’s Rift were the first team to be eliminated, in the first day of the Red Bull Battle Grounds playoffs. HellRaisers advanced to the second day of competition down one life, while Team Malaysia was fighting to keep alive, with only one life remaining.

Summary:
Invictus Gaming secured first blood and took a second kill immediately, after a failed gank attempt when Xu Zhilei BurNing managed to escape with less than 20 HP left. MY continued the momentum and dominated the early game, at one point being ahead by at least $30,000 gold advantage. HellRaisers were able to make a comeback and even out the networth through several successful team fights, but with IG having such a strong late game draft, HellRaisers were unable to see their comeback to a successful finish. Invictus Gaming would continue to be undefeated in the tournament series so far, with all three lives intact.

Summary
Once again, Team Malaysia found themselves in the center of a battle of survival with both them and HellRaisers having only one life left. Right out of the gate, HellRaisers seemed ready to fight to the death with a Rampage early game on the team’s stand-in player Roman “rmn” Paley’s SandKing. However, “Kecik Imba” Fadil bin Mohd Raziff’s Shadow Fiend farming brought him to the top of the charts in networth. After a good team fight for the Malaysians and Roshan secured, the team was beginning to turn the game in their favor and gain control.

Summary
Team Malaysia was once again playing to stay alive, a recurrent theme for them having played with one life remaining several times already. Until this point, the Malaysians had been able to prolong their game play experience and defeat their opponents. However, Team Secret would prove to be their final blow. With Arteezy on the Gyrocopter being allowed free farm, Team Secret was able to secure victory after victory, while Kecik Imba’s Phantom Lancer was trying to gain his own farm. Team Secret just continued to snowball and dominate giving Team Malaysia little room to turn things around.

Red Bull Battle Grounds Grand Finals
Team Secret and Invictus Gaming both have all three lives intact, and will proceed to the next stage of the tournament, the best-of-five Red Bull Battle Grounds Grand Finals to be held at the Historic Warfield Theater, in San Francisco, on May 10.
Team Malaysia, HellRaisers and Summer’s Rift will still participate in the Fan Day in San Jose, on May 9.
