Team Malaysia has qualified for the MLG Pro League Season 2 LAN finals, their fifth international LAN in less than two months. The LAN finals will take place in Austin, Texas, June 5 to 7, 2015. They are the first team to qualify and will join directly invited MLG Pro League Champions Team Empire and runner-up NA giants Evil Geniuses.

It was with little difficulty that Team MY advanced towards the finals, defeating both Arcanys Gaming and Team Invasion without suffering a single loss. As MVP.Hot6ix fought Signature.Trust, 2:1, and MVP.Phoenix, 2:0, they entered the best of three finals ready to put up a fight against the tournament favorites. MVP.Phoenix managed to take the second game away from MY but eventually lost, 2:1, the last game being a complete stomp and lasting only 24 minutes.

MY has been on a winning streak, securing themselves placements in Red Bull Battle Grounds 2015, China’s i-League, ESL One Frankfurt and having recently completed StarLadder StarSeries Season XII. The team grabbed first place in both CORSAIR Gaming Event and GEST-SEA-CUP, all since parting ways with E-Home.cn, on March 26. The team is looking very strong and confident leading up to the days for The International 5 invites and qualifiers. Many believe Team Malaysia will get a well deserved direct invite. The Malaysians will be traveling to the US for the Red Bull Battle Grounds 2015 event, later this month.
