SL iLeague StarSeries s2 day 1 recap: Usual suspects advance

SL iLeague StarSeries s2 day 1 has already come and gone. Na’Vi, Team Secret, Evil Geniuses and Digital Chaos have triumphed over Fnatic, compLexity, CDEC.Youth and F.R.I.E.N.D.S, respectively. With all games being best-of-three, there is plenty more action to be seen, and with six TI6-bound teams – anything can happen.

The competition resumes with the Lower Bracket elimination series between Fnatic and CDEC.Youth, starting at 18:30 CEST, followed by the elimination series between compLexity Gaming and F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

SL iLeague StarSeries s2 day 1 has gone by without any major upsets or surprises.

Team Secret, Evil Geniuses and Digital Chaos ended the first day with clean 2:0 records. Na’Vi and Fnatic battled it out for three games before Na’Vi were declared the winners – a result that most fans anticipated based on their recent match-ups.

Team Secret, Evil Geniuses, Digital Chaos and Na’Vi will continue through the Upper Brackets, while Fnatic, CDEC.Youth, F.R.I.E.N.D.S and compLexity will go head to head in the elimination series, in the Lower Brackets.

All matches are best-of-three and completed in a double elimination bracket format, giving all teams a fighting chance to claim the last championship title before TI6.

Teams will play Double Elimination brackets. Matches will be Best-of-3, while the contenders for the title who will face each other in the Grand Final will play out five maps.
