Team Redemption have been disqualified as Valve has not removed the players ban.
— Qualifiers Oracle (@Dota2Qualifiers) January 3, 2016
Team Redemption and Arrow Gaming had received a lifetime ban in 2014, following a match-fixing scandal. Valve had issued the team and organization a permanent ban from any Valve-sponsored tournaments. However, the team was able to register and start playing in the Shanghai Major SEA Open Qualifiers on the FACEIT platform, under the name TR. The situation was brought to the attention of FACEIT admins after a few rounds and the team was disqualified.
