The Red Bull Battle Grounds Fan Day LAN kicks off today, at the the AFK Lounge, in San Jose, CA. In keeping with tradition, Red Bull is taking community involvement to the next level.
As part of Red Bull Battle Grounds 2015, a so-called “Fan Day” LAN was added to the event. The Red Bull Battle Grounds Fan Day LAN is designed to give community members an opportunity to compete and meet their favorite Dota 2 players participating in the tournament.
Red Bull Battle Grounds Fan Day LAN format
85 members of the community will join 15 professional players from the teams that took part in the Red Bull Battle Grounds playoffs for the “Solo Queue Dominance” at the AFK lounge. The 100 player-pool will be shuffled into twenty teams. Game will be played in an All Pick mode and each of the winners will receive a $20 steam wallet gift card per win. Winning team members will be constantly reshuffled until only two undefeated players remain. The two winners will lead an All Star cast of pros before the Red Bull Battle Grounds Grand Finals on May 10, in San Francisco.

Spectators can watch for free. However, in order to be added to the wait-list, you must prove you have purchased a Red Bull Battle Grounds ticket.
Doors open at 11 am PDT and competition officially begins at 1 pm PDT.
Sign-ups are made on a first come first serve basis, and players are encouraged to bring their own equipment. However keyboard, mouse and ear-buds will be provided, if necessary.
Red Bull Battle Grounds Fan Day LAN meet and greet
All participants in the Red Bull Battle Grounds Fan Day LAN will also be able to attend a meet and greet with Team Malaysia, HellRaisers, Summer’s Rift and other Dota 2 personalities.
Red Bull Battle Grounds Grand Finals
Team Secret and Invictus Gaming both emerged from battle victorious with all of their lives intact and will face off in a best-of-five Grand Final series.
The Red Bull Battle Grounds Grand Finals will be held at the Historic Warfield Theater, in San Francisco, on May 10.
The base prize pool set by Red Bull is $75,000. As of May 5, the total prize-pool, including community contributions, has reached $87,298.
- $5,000 to the winning team of each regional qualifier.
- $1,500 + 3% of the community contributions for each life destroyed.
- $8,750 + 15% of the community contributions for the second team in the Grand Finals.
- $18,750 + 40% of the community contributions for the Grand Finals Champions.
