To the surprise of many, Peter “PPD” Dager returns to the competitive scene and forms his own team – Team WanteD for the upcoming Kiev Major season.
The lineup will feature Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin, Kim “QO” Seon-Yeob, Bill “boris / monk” Oliver, and Jio “Jeyo” Madayag playing alongside the famed former TI5 championship captain. The team is expected to participate in the Americas region events.
Peter “PPD” Dager had stepped away from competition after TI6 but remained a part of the Evil Geniuses organization, eventually taking an ownership and the CEO slot.
The Swedish player, Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin, had previously been playing in the Americas for compLexity Gaming, where he continued to stay even after taking his leave and a hiatus due to his continued complications from back pain that has been an on and off again vexation in his career.
From across the ocean, the Korean player Kim “QO” Seon-Yeob has parted ways with MVP.Phoenix. Despite a direct invite to the Boston Major, the team took a disappointing 9 – 16th place finish and little else to show for their season.
With experience and history playing in both the SEA and NA regions, Jio “Jeyo” Madayag makes a step back into the competitive scene in NA after a short break following TI6 and five months with Rave in the Philippines. Jeyo had previously played for Evil Geniuses in 2012 until 2014.
The most unknown player for most fans would be the Candian mid player Bill “boris / monk” Oliver. Playing since 2015, his longest and most known stint was recently with Team Freedom.
