NXTGame Dota 2 Invitational returns for a second season. This series will feature eight invited teams from Europe to compete for a much bigger prize pool of $8,000. Mineski Dota bested MSI EVO-GT, 3:1, in the first iteration of the event, which was dedicated to the SEA region and offered a $2,000 prize pool.
The second season of the NXTGame Dota 2 Invitational will move halfway across the globe to the European region and boasts a substantially larger prize pool of $8,000, compared to the $2,000 awarded during the first season.
Eight directly invited European teams will compete in a double elimination bracket between April 4th-9th.
Tournament admins have confirmed for DotaBlast that they are aware of potential scheduling conflicts, as the NXTGame Dota 2 Invitational will run simultaneously with the ESL One Frankfurt 2016 regional qualifiers. In the case of any team experiencing scheduling conflicts for this reason, the organizers will be flexible to ensure the squads can participate in both competitions without any problems.
The first match is scheduled to kick off with a double header on April 4th, at 18:00 CEST, when ATN will face TBE, followed by YeS vs. ENSO at 21:30 CEST.
