mYinsanity, a Swiss organization with a Balkan roster for their Dota 2 team has just added another Balkan, a full Serbian team, to their organization.
The new squad has familiar faces from the original squad Viktor “Buktop” Knezevic, Nenad “grizzine” Lukic and Konstantin “Kole” Jancetovic. We were able talk with the team captain, Buktop, who shed some light on the recent additions and changes.
mYinsanity hasn’t been satisfied with the recent results of the current roster and has made a second squad as a form of “test” and trial. We’re not sure which roster will play in which tournaments right now since the original roster has now been split, but it won’t be one sided, with both teams participating. For now, we’ll be called mYi2 since neither team is international and both are from the balkans, so there is no other way to identify the differences.
Both teams are competing in the Think Fast Razer 2 Tournament to be held in Nis, Serbia, where top 8 teams from the group stage will compete for the prize pool of $10,000. mYi1 and mYi2 were scheduled to compete vs each other yesterday, however the match was postponed. With The International 5 invites to qualifiers coming soon, time will tell if this split will effect any potential chance to participate.
