The MPGL Season 7 is underway at Selangor Cyber Games, in Malaysia as twelve teams from the SEA region compete for the $50,000 prize pool and rights to the Championship title. MPGL is run by Mineski and is now at its seventh MPGL Southeast Asian Championships season.

MPGL Season 7 groups
Eleven teams from various parts of the SEA region and one team, Energy Pace Makers, from China, qualified for the opportunity to attend the Grand Finals.
Team Malaysia was originally scheduled to attend the LAN finals event but the dates conflicted with the Red Bull Battle Grounds LAN in California and the team was replaced by Underminers. The replacements were chosen through a single elimination online tournament consisting of 35 teams.
Team MVP HOT6IX won their first match in MPGL Season 7 vs. United We Stand. This was Finnish player Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka’s first LAN victory since he moved to the SEA region.

The event is also featuring a Cosplay segment, including some unlikely appearances by Death Profit, Rubick, Sven, Sniper and even TECHIES.
