Legends Factory Poznań 2016 Dota 2 featured at Pyrkon convention

Legends Factory Poznań 2016 hosted by Dota2.pl will be featured at this year’s Pyrkon convention in Poznań, Poland over the weekend. This year local Dota 2 teams will be competing at the fan festival taking place between April 8-10th. Six teams – two invited and four qualified – will be competing on a stage at the Electronic Games Section.

Legends Factory Poznań 2016 is the first Dota 2 tournament run by Legends Factory and organized by Dota2.pl.

The tournament will take place during Pyrkon – a Fan Convention in Poznań, Poland being held between April 8-10th.

The Dota 2 segment will be held between April 9-10th on a stage in at the Electronic Games Section. Local fans will be able to watch the games live from a viewing area. The two day competition will also be broadcast on Dota2.pl twitch channel.

Event organizers have confirmed with Dotablast that the schedule will be released on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to visit Dota2.pl for full details but expect the first day, April 9th, to be filled with the group stage starting at 10:00 CEST. The event will then be moving into the playoff stage on Sunday, April 10th, at 10:00 CEST. Brackets, results and updates can also be followed on the website.

Passes for Pyrkon

You can pre-order passes until April 7th on the Pyrkon website, in Empik stores, through STS Betting Operators or HERE. You can also buy passes on Thursday before the festival during 10:00 – 18:00 hours and through twenty-four-hour MTP checkouts at the eastern entrance (Roosevelt street side) during Pyrkon festival.

Pyrkon is a Polish fan convention held annually in Poznań on the first weekend after the spring equinox. It is dedicated to an integration of Science fiction fandom and promotion of science-fiction/fantasy literature, comics, film, television, video games, RPG, LARP, board games, collectible card games and miniature wargaming.

The Electronic Games Section is a part of Pyrkon’s program that keeps developing. They are about an entertainment that has been overlapping with science-fiction and fantasy since the very beginning: computer games, mobile games, and console games… They all attract our attention for many hours, send us exploring fantastic worlds or challenging other players.

This year will feature the closed Dota 2 tournament and an open League of Legends and open StarCraft 2 tournament.
