Double Dimension secured a spot in the regional qualifiers after coming out on top in the Kiev Major CIS Open Qualifiers. Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko formed his team in time for the qualifiers and immediately saw success.
After cruising through the best-of-one elimination matches, the team maneuvered through known Tier 2 team Fieve and into the grand finals.
The first two games were lopsided, first in favor of DD and then in favor of EWF, but it would be a 24 minute, Godlike Outworld Devourer game that would clinch the spot for Double Dimension.
Double Dimension will go up against Vega Squadron, Team Empire, Virtus.Pro, FRIENDS, Na’vi, Team Spirit, Effect and one other team still to be determined, in the Kiev Major CIS Regional Qualifiers, scheduled to take place between March 11-12.
The Kiev Major will be held in Kiev, Ukraine, between April 27-30th, at National Palace of Arts, with a set $3,000,000 prize pool. Sixteen teams will compete at the main event hosted by PGL.
