Kaipi is stacked after adding two new members to their exisiting roster. Armand “bOne7” Pittner, Mihai “canceL^^” Antonio and Alexandru “ComeWithMe” welcome WehSing “SingSing” Yuen and Sébastien “7ckingMad” Debs to the lineup, creating a stir of excitement for fans.
Both SingSing and 7ckingMad have not officially been playing competitively in the last few months, however, singsing did make appearances in the lineup during the last few Kaipi games recently. The last official teams for both players was Monkey Freedom Fighters back in October of 2014. This is the second time that 7ckingMad has registered for Kaipi roster, having done so for the Shanghai Major as well.
The team is already competing in NoShang Invitational and WellPlay.
Kaipi history
Kaipi was originally formed in 2012, together with BABARRR, Johan “pieliedie” Åström and Kim “Febby” Yong-min. In the next year or more, the team went through numerous roster changes and were not much of a blip on the radar at the time.
In February of 2013, bOne7 joined pieliedie, followed by Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao in March. Later in April, it would begin to take on the form of the infamous team, adding ComeWithMe, and lesser known, at the time, Artour “Arteezy” Babaev.
Kaipi began to gain traction and attention competing in numerous events, however the team was denied the chance to attend The International 3 despite first and second place finishes in a variety of events.
The lineup continued together with hopes of attending TI4 and were able to secure a few more championship titles and second place results. In July they parted ways with ComeWithMe and were later joined by Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling and one month later replaced Arteezy with SingSing.
In September 2013, the squad was picked up by the Chinese organization RaTtLeSnAkE, as their international division. The future was looking bright for the team. After a series of strong performances, they packed their bags and headed to China to pursue their goal more intensely, closer to their new found Chinese mother-ship. The squad’s name was changed into Speed Gaming but was riddled with hardships and challenges.
The team returned from China and in February 2014, Cloud 9 – a North American esports organization with various gaming divisions -made their Dota 2 debut by signing the roster.
Cloud 9 took a commendable sixth place finish at The International 4 – which proved not to be enough for the achievement-hungry team. After the event, SingSing was replaced by Adrian “FATA-“ Trinks and during the great January 2015 reshuffle instigated by Team Secret, Aui_2000 and pieliedie were replaced by Johan “BigDaddy” Sundstein and Rasmus “MiSeRy” Filipsen. The team took 9-12th place at TI5.
At the end of August, after TI5, bOne7 had put together a mix with Asuna, Bufni, Beesa, and kikoni – they went by the name of Kaipi. While the roster was comprised of lesser known players, bOne7 had wanted to create a team with those he had known a long time and to just enjoy playing more.
Less than a month later Alexandru “Comewithme” Crăciunescu and Antonio “canceL^^” Mihai was brought on after Kiril “Kikoni” Minkov and Salvador “Asuna” Khamis parted ways with the team.
